Here is a little bit about us Dean and Andrea,

I’ve been involved with food the last 25 years . My journey started as a pastry chef working for a family based business here in Devonport where we worked for 20 odd years. Our food was of Dutch origin which many locals became familiar with. Upon my parents retiring I chose to continue my journey learning a new trade on the other side of food profession. I began working as a chef learning how to run a kitchen and gaining my certification. Taking a small break I returned to drive to become a head chef . Over the next few years I worked at a number of restaurants all along the coast learning different skills with the hope of one day doing something of my own . Fast forward to 2022 , a chance opportunity with Playfish became for sale ..this was it a chance to do something different and with that we took a chance and haven’t looked back . As with everything at Playfish its all about the simple things . Good food good coffee . Step back in time to when I first cut my teeth in the food industry and returning with an institution that Devonport has missed over the last 20 years ... Klaas's Bakehouse . A blend of new and old is what's become at Playfish with good old fashioned recipes of years gone by with some modern ideas and you have an idea what we're about .
